Education is one of the factors that influence the success and the success of a person. Both formal, informal and non-formal. Informal education provides a considerable influence on the growth and development of children both in the establishment of good personal character, and intelligence. Education is fostered in the family a positive influence on children's achievement. Family is one of the determinants of the quality of children's education, and strengthened by education formal and non-formal. But the fact there are still many children who are less educated and even their children often leave school to help their parents work. This study aims to determine the pattern of children's education in the era of globalization Dayak community in coastal areas Barito river. This research was conducted in the village of Baru subdistrict Tabatan Kuripan, lasted from August to October 2016. The sample selected is perposive sampling and snowball sampling. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation while data analysis techniques used domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, component analysis and thematic analysis. Results of research conducted in four families dayak Bakumpai show that the pattern of family education given to children include, planting values and rules, paying attention and motivation, and foster attitudes child's personality. The results show antaralain family education tends to be authoritarian, because children always helped what was said by his parents. Based on interviews with the teacher education is solely left to the teachers in the school. Children often do not go to school, for helping parents work to other areas. In addition it has become their habit when no activity deaths, child marriage, also school holidays. Conclusion planting of values and rules, attention and motivation, and a positive attitude should be given by parents in the education of children with both families so as to improve the quality of life.
