Industry Era 4.0 which is developing now allows someone to learn more than what is obtained in class. The
sophisticated smartphones enable someone to obtain various knowledge, and make it easier to understand everything,
especially in religion. many students who learn religion from speech by Ustadz through the youtube channel which is posted
periodically to several episodes of discussion. The millennial generation seems to learn a lot about religion through the social
media. the Changing way in obtaining religious knowledge also has impact on their understanding and practicing in daily life
especially in 'ibadah and mu'amalah. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences,
Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. With quantitative research methods accompanied by data collection techniques
through electronic questionnaires in the google forms that are used to reveal the level of Religious understanding and the level
of religious practice of students due to the influence of the industrial era 4.0. The results showed that in connection with the
Industry Era 4.0, in this case, the internet of things, students who had digital Al-Quran were 83%, listened to the speech or
studies via the internet as much as 73% and made it as a source of reference and a place to study in religion as much as
87.8%. In religious understanding it can be concluded that the understanding of students related to aqeedah is very high and
good, especially faith in Allah SWT. However, the understanding in the field of Shari'ah especially their knowledge of the pillars
of Islam can be classified as low, it can be seen in their knowledge of fasting, zakat and hajj which is under 50%. Whereas in
understanding in the field of morals they can be classified as having high understanding and knowledge which is above 80%.
Thus in understanding, that students of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University,
Banjarbaru can be classified in the moderate category.
