Various devices are used to capture waterbirds which are economically potensial for some people of Danau Panggang District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. The objectives of the research were to describe the capture devices, to identify the captured bird species, and to determine the environmentally friendliness of those devices. Data were collected from the field survey and through interviewing the informants. Sixty five bird capturers of four selected villages were informants. There were nine capture devices. Twenty two target and nontarget bird species were captured in physical condition which was not always normal and were not selected based on to age classes and sexes. The devices were not environmentally friendly.
