The development of science and technology accelerate the change of socio-cultural value system which
is the background and environment of social studies and social science education. Giving significant
influence to practice and reflecting in philosophical and theoretical thinking for revitalization amid global
issues. This study suggests how the paradigmative notion reinforces the scientific epistemology and its
implications for the social studies teacher education system. The Pancasila as basic and ideology of the
state should be used as a source of social studies education prophetic philosophy in curriculum
development and learning to educate the social life of the nation in the global perspective. The use of
information and communication technology in an integrated and socio-cultural based values of the nation
in the development of curriculum and learning can increase the meaning of social studies. Paradigmatic
ideas as a reflection of subjective experience in analyzing the development of thinking in the academic
community, and research writing thesis and dissertation on UPI Graduate Program during 2010- 2017.
