This paper is based on research about the social-economic effect of resettlement program to local community. Research conducted in the village of Kambitin I – Haruai. This study aims to describe how the system of resettling inhabitants of overpopulated islands to less populated regions in this village have a social and economic effect to the resettled community and local community at the period 1984-1991. The results from this study that find out resettled community in the village of Kambitin I was a significant progress in social and economic at the period 1984-1991.
