This study aims to explain the diversity of architecture of Dayak Bukit’s houses (called
Balai-adat) in South Kalimantan. The diversity views from the aspects of space and form.
Tipomorfology analysis used to obtain the diversity of architecture of balai-adat. Based on
the results of the analysis, this research find four types of balai-adat depend on the space
and four types based on the building form. Referring to the typology of space and forms, it
can be concluded that the Dayak Bukit’s houses has undergone a change, particularly
adaptation to the needs of the growing residential space.
