A variety of bananas is traded in the floating market of Banjarmasin, but there is no documentation of scientific names. The purpose of this research was to identify the types of bananas based on their morphological characterizations. A survey was conducted on 29 November - 6 December 2015. There were 9 types of bananas called in local names as pisang susu, pisang talas, pisang mauli, pisang awa, pisang ambon lumut, pisang kepok, pisang raja, pisang palembang, and pisang mas or pisang telur.
