The goals of this researce eimed to know the existing channel of the market of seaweed (Euceoma Cottonii) in Teluk Tamiang Vilage, Pulau Laut Barat District, Kotabaru Regency; to know the farmer accepted by the seaweed cultivators to know the marketing margin and profit of seaweed cultivators and the other marketing institutions.
This research was carried out in the Teluk Tamiang Village, Pulau Laut Barat District, Kotabaru Regency, with the object of seaweed cultivators and the existing instituon of marketing. The Data that was collected was the data that directly originated from result of observation in the location of research, and the other supporting data, was related to the object of the research.
Results of research showed that the existing seaweed marketing channel in the Teluk Tamiang Village was one system only by passing one marketing institution, it’s the broker. The average farmer share accepted by the seaweed cultivators was 57,93%. The average of seaweed marketing margin was Rp. 5.333/kg, with maldistribution of the margin for the marketing cost (12,80 %), and for the marketing institution profit (87,20 %), with the accepted profit was bigger than the cost or the cultivators profit so far.
