Abstract:
This Community Service Activity aims to empower the MSME trader community in the Semangat Dalam market (the barefoot entrepreneurs) to improve community welfare. The approach used to achieve the activity’s objectives is the counseling method or community education to the target audience – by conveying a discourse that is expected to provoke new ideas in their entrepreneurial activities. For example, a target audience is a group of market traders located on Semangat Dalam street at Handil Bakti. The outcome of this Community Service Activity can be observed through an increase in the variety of products traded due to the audience’s creativity in utilizing existing market waste. In addition, increasing awareness is necessary for avoiding to ow on to moneylenders - which are usually used to add more on the variety of their merchandise.
