Abstract:
Palm tree is a plant that is very useful for the life of rural communities because it has high economic value. In
almost all parts, it can provide financial benefits, so if managed properly it will be able to compete, especially with other types
of palm trees. Based on the survey results, the purpose of the PKM program is to transfer technology to partner farmer
groups on how to make palm sugar. The method used to achieve these goals and targets is counseling, training and
mentoring on palm sugar processing technology in a controlled manner into palm sugar and its marketing patterns. The
discussion method was chosen to give more opportunities to the participants to discuss, question, underline, provide input,
and / or deepen the material presented. The tutorial method was chosen to complete the understanding of material that has
been addressed and discussed by applying it directly. Practice is implemented as an alternative in providing real examples
and deeper understanding. The results of the activities show that partner farmer groups can increase the productivity and
quality of yield palm sugar with a touch of simple technology controlled processing starting from the preparation of materials
and tools, processing to packaging, so as to increase the income of partner farmer groups.
