Abstract:
The development of information and communication technology requires farmers and extension workers to be able to utilize all types of social
media in disseminating agricultural information. This study aims to analyze the use of social media for farmers in tidal swamp land in
agricultural information in Sungai Kambat Village, Cerbon District, Barito Kuala Regency. The benefit of this research is to provide
references and the development of knowledge in the field of agricultural communication. This research was conducted by the method of
quantitative descriptive research, research that describes examines, and explains something learned and draws conclusions from the observed
phenomena using numbers reinforced by the results of in-depth interviews. The results of research on the use of social media for farmers in
tidal swamp land in Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan province in agricultural activities can be concluded that the use of social media is
classified as high in the use of Whatsapp media, the use of Youtube media is in the medium category, while the use of Facebook and
Instagram media is in a low category.
