Abstract:
Efforts to control forest and land fires during the COVID-19 pandemic in East Ulin
Basin Village, Sungai Karangan Village, Landasan Ulin District, Banjarbaru. Tambak Buluh,
Kampung Sungai Karangan was chosen as the research location because from information from
Manggala Agni and field surveys, repeated fires have occurred in recent years, and the COVID-19
pandemic can affect communities around the burned areas. This study uses quantitative methods
with a qualitative approach, namely processing all data obtained from questionnaires during the
study and processed using simple statistics. Data processing is carried out through the stages of
reduction, presentation of data and drawing conclusions. The data collected is data on
characteristics and efforts to control forest and land fires during the Covid-19 pandemic and before
the Covid-19 pandemic in Sungai Karangan Village, East Ulin Landas Village. The forest and land
fire control carried out in Sungai Karangan Village is in the moderately active category with a total
score of 147 and an average of 1.93 rounded up to a score of 2. The assessment of the individual
characteristics of the Sungai Karangan community based on the assessment shows moderate
individual characteristics with a score of 17.08 and has potential in developing efforts to control
forest and land fires
