Abstract:
Aloeswood (Aquilaria malaccensis Lamk.) Is a non-timber plant that has high economic value because the resin in the tree can be categorized as a commercial commodity Gaharu cultivation is important to meet the needs of the international market by using onion extract (Allium ceppa L.) because it contains the hormones auxin, gibberellin, vitamin B1 and allicin compounds. The purpose of this study was to analyze the dosage of shallot extract which was able to provide the best effect in increasing the growth of Gaharu (Aquilaria malaccensis L) seeds. The results of this study indicate that the increase in growth is 5.23 cm for high increase with the concentration of shallot extract as much as 200 gr / l of water and an increase in the number of leaves by an average of 10.3 strands with a concentration of shallot extract of 100 gr / l of water.
