Abstract:
Hypertension is a disease that occurs when a person has an increase in blood pressure > 140 mmHg and diastolic > 90 mmHg. Based on data from public health office of South Kalimantan in 2018, hypertension ranked first among ten most prevalent diseases which is as much as 70.195 new cases and 184.946 old cases and hypertension ranked first in Sungai Raya public health center with 585 cases, but in 2020 increased to 1.371 cases. The objective the reseach is to analyse sex, age, smoking, phsycal activity, fruit and vegetable consumption with primary hypertension in Sungai Raya public health center. This research used cross sectional study design in the Sungai Raya public health center in March 2021. The population is community in Sungai Raya public health center area. Sampling desain with non probability sampling. The instrument use Posbindu early detection quetionnaire. Dependent variable is primary hypertension and independent variables are age, sex, smoking, phsycal activity, fruit and vegetable consumption. Data was analysed with chi square test. The conclusion from the research is there was a correlation between age (p-value 0,0001) with hypertension and there was no correlation between sex, smoking, phsycal activity, fruit and vegetable consumption with hypertension.
