Abstract:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, physical social interaction restrictions were imposed on the mental
health of the elderly. All activities that involve the presence of many people are avoided, so that the
elderly no longer have a place to interact and communicate with each other, including with peers, one of
which is the Elderly Posyandu (Indarwati, 2020). Therefore, many elderly people feel lonely during this
pandemic. This affects the mental health of the elderly. One of the efforts to overcome this is through
giving attention from distant families such as children who are wandering. This attention is in the form of
communicating and interacting through communication media. So there needs to be someone who
facilitates online communication for the elderly with relatives to minimize the feeling of loneliness
experienced by the elderly.
