Abstract:
Plastic waste is still a big problem in Cempaka Village, Banjarbaru
City. It is estimated that every day there are 2-3 sacks of plastic garbage that
accumulate from residents' waste. Mostly in the form of plastic packaging
bags, cups, and bottles of drink. One of the efforts in realizing the concept of
zero waste is to recycle plastic waste, which is plastic waste processed into
paving block products. Therefore, we need a tool to melt the plastic. The
method used is to conduct a field study and make a garbage bucket machine
with dimensions of length 60.3 cm diameter 60 cm, liquid plastic flow capacity
is 1.25 kg/minute and the stirrer round is 40 Rpm, with a production capacity
of 20 pieces of paving blocks/hour, the temperature to melt plastic is 250oC260oC.
