Abstract:
This research discusses the legal protection of forest areas on wetlands in Southern Kalimantan. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of government’s protection, especially the local government, has been performed on forest areas in the Southern Kalimantan wetlands. The method used in this study is a normative juridical research which examines problems through the prevailing laws and regulations. The results of the study are that the protection of forests in wetlands is performed by the central and regional governments through the limited conversion of forest functions.
