Abstract:
Unting is a traditional food Banjar, South Kalimantan made from sago.The study aimed to 1) determine the consumer acceptance level to sago unting sweet and chicken karih taste, as well as the packaging type to paper cup and metalizer bag include inner and outer attributes; and 2) determine the inner and outer attributes type infl uence the consumer acceptance.The method used is sago unting sweet and chicken karih taste tested its sensory include inner attributes ie, taste, aroma, texture, appearance and color, as well as the outer attributes of packaging ie, color, packaging type and appearance, on the 335 respondents who were in the 9 area’s to fi ll the questionnaire. The result is that consumers like sweet sago unting from 42.9 to 88.6%, the rest is really like (2.1 to 44.7%) and neutral, while dislike is 0 to 6.9%. The consumers just like 23.8 to 61.8% to chicken karih sago unting, and many consumers dislike (0 - 52.4%). This means that consumers are not accustomed to eating sago unting chicken karih taste. The packaging type acceptance of laminated paper cup and metalizer bag is almost the same. It’s just, the laminated paper cup liked is 36.1 to 80.0%. This is slightly over liked to metalizer bag ie, 23.3 to 70.2%. In addition, the most inner attribute infl uence consumer acceptance is the taste, while the outer attribute is a packaging type. Based on this, it can be concluded that the more consumers receive sago unting sweet taste with the packaging type is laminated paper cup or metalizer bag.
