The coffee berry borer, Hypothenemus hampei Ferr is the main insect pest on coffee, attacking the fruits. This observation aims to determine the coffee borer attacks (Hypothenemus hampei Ferr.) in the Rante Karua estate, Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi. Observation method involved the coffee planting area separating into 5 (five) plot samplings based on the direction of the wind, namely: East, West, North, and South. The sampling plot each was around 1 ha. In this area the plant was observed 20 samples. The results showed that the attack rate of coffee borrer in the Rante Karua estate was relatively low (6.175%). Efforts to control the coffee borer can be done with technical culture, biology, and physical.
