Mangrove forest in coastal area of South Tabulo has been known that it has a very important role for human lives which can be vitally important to be conducted a research about it. It is because the role of this mangrove can protect abrasion, tsunami, sea intrusion and as a habitat for terrestrial and aquatic organisms. Besides, mangrove forest is a collector and storage the carbon. Due to the ability of mangrove to collect carbon and store it in biomass, the atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration will be decreased. This study is thoroughly aimed to analyze the diversity of mangrove in of mangrove in coastal area of South Tabulo. The data were collected through random Purposive Sampling. To know the diversity of index of each growth rate of mangrove was calculated using Shannon Wienner. The result revealed 6 species in the area including Rhizophora apiculata, Ceriops tagal, Brugueira gymnorrhiza, Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia alba, dan Xylocarpus granatum. Importantly, the diversity index value of station I, II, and III are 1.641, 1.601, and 1.549, respectively.
