The existence of coral reefs in the waters of South Kalimantan is very important to maintain the natural balance of the cycle. This study aims to provide infromation about existing condition of coral reefs, how kind and distribution in the waters of South Kalimantan, especially in Water Conservation District Land of Spices. Observations reefs and coral distribution in the region conducted representativeness (inner, middle and outer reef) at 6 sampling sites (karang Kima, Karang Anjir, Karang Bajangan, Karang Bagusung, Karang Lola and Karang Batu Tengah) using manta tow, line intercept transect (LIT) and transect squared/quadrant. The results showed the condition of coral cover of the sixth condition coral cover these locations indicate the category of “medium” to “good”. The distribution of species that can be identified as many as 83 species of hard coral. This identification is done inside and outside the transect where the results obtained identification of 69 species of hard corals were identified in quadrant transect and 14 species of hard coral outside the transect
