The research aim was to know the effect of combination crop density and corn varieties to obtain optimum character and percentage silage successfulness of livestock’s forages . This research used completely factorial randomized design with 2 factors, and 3 replication of each. The first factor were corn varieties (V) consist of V1 (CP1-2) and V2 (Arjuna), and the second factor were corp densities ( K) consist of K1 ( 25 000 crops. ha-1 ), K2 (50 000 crops. ha-1), K3 (75 000 crops. ha-1) and K4 (100 000 crops. ha-1), so there are 8 treatments combination . Result of experiment showed that the character ( colaur, smell, texture, fungi, pH) and the percentase optimum silage successfulness of the corn forage crof density 25 000 to 50 000 crop .ha-1 ( K1 and K2) for Arjuna variety was about 98,52 % to 96,24 % and CP1-2 variety was about 98,78 % to 95.33 % Key words : varieties, crop density, livestock’s forages and silage character
