The research objective is to obtain the information content of the carbon stored in biomass in secondary forest. Research procedures after getting a picture of the vegetation composition and distribution of diameter, then purposively selected sample trees are expected to represent diameter distribution and species present at the sites. Biomass calculation was then performed using destructive sampling methods, which perform logging and wet weighing directly on each of the vegetation components (leaves, branches, stems and roots) and converts it to a dry weight (biomass) using the dry weight of each sample the vegetation in each tree instance. Carbon content is determined, 50% of forest biomass. The results showed the carbon content in the secondary forest vegetation at the sites of 81.59 tons/ha. At the tree level of 31.518 tons / ha; the pole 38.899 tons / ha of saplings 11.142 tons/ ha and the seedlings / plants under 0031 tons/ha. The highest content of carbon stored in the trunk contained 42.016 ton/ha (51%), followed by the branches/twigs 42.016 tons/ha (27%); root of 12.69 tonnes/ha (16%) and leaves 4.579 ton / ha ( 5%). |
