dc.description The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of macro nutrients in the soil i.e Nitrogen (N), phosfor (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg). From the results will be obtained information on the chemical properties of soil on the protected forest of Mount Sebatung to be used in the context of forest development in the future. Research procedure consist of field surveys to determine the purposive sampling. Soil samples taken in the topsoil to a depth of 0-20 cm. Soil samples taken observation point of 1 meters distance, were combinedd in to one sample, to be analyzed in the laboratory. Then it will be compared with the Soil Chemical Properties Assessment Criteria according to the Institute for Soil Research Center Bogor to determine the level of concentration of each nutrients. The results showed the nutrient content of low-N and Mg. While the nutrients P, K and Ca are relatively very high. Therefore, to maintain the fertility of the soil or nutrient availability for plant growth land conservation efforts, both in biology and land terasering measures, should be done.
