"Intelligence is one of the factors that affect to learning achievement. This aim study finds empirical evidence about comparison Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Grade Point Average (GPA) in all selection programs for new students. With this comparsion in National Admission Selection of Student in State Universities (SNMPTN), Joint Admission Selection of Student in State Universities (SBMPTN), and Program of Admission Selection from each University (Jalur Utama), that results can make academic policy to proof the comparation of student academic potency. The study was tested by multivariate variance analysis (Manova) and correlational analysis on participant t(N= 80) from psychology students in class of 2015 in Study Program of Psychology, Medical Faculty, Lambung Mangkurat University. Results indicated that (1) there was differences in GPA of student and IQ in each program of admission selection; (2) IQ was related to GPA in SNMPTN, but this correlation was low; (3) the correlation between IQ and GPA in SBMPTN was no significant; (4) IQ was strongly significant related to GPA in Jalur Utama. This findings can be concluded that IQ is not entirely as a factor directly related to GPA in all admission selection in Study Program of Psychology, Medical Faculty, Lambung Mangkurat University.There is other factors, such as emotion stability, creativity, and personality, that can affect student GPA.
