This experiment was aim to determine the capability of bacteria isolated from ex –mined land to reduce
consentration of Cr(VI) in the field. Inoculation of bacteria to soils resulted in higher Cr(VI) reduction
compared to soil without bacteria inoculation. However, lime and organic matter application did not increase
reduction of Cr(VI). The capability of isolate bacteria in Cr(VI) reduction was lower in the field experiment
than laboratory experiment using agar media due to relatively high initial consen tration of Cr(VI). |
