dc.description Organic chromium (Cr) has higher availability for animals than inorganic chromium sources. One of organic chromium sources known is fungi or yeast contained high Cr. This organic chromium was incorporated to fungi or yeast protein. Information about the best microorganisms used in organic chromium production is stil llimited. The objective of this research was to study organic chromium production using different kinds of microorganisms as chromium carrier. Organic chromium production was conducted in a 4 x 3 factorial completely randomized experimental design with 3 replications. Factor A was chromium level (without Cr 0%, Cr 5%, Cr 10%, and Cr 15%). Factor B (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Aspergillus oryzae, and Rhyzopus oryzae). The results showed no significant differences in absolute growth, feed convertion ratio, and feed efficiency among treatments. From this research it can be concluded that addition of 10-15% Cr with Rhyzopus oryzae microorganism gave the higher growth rate for Climbing perch.
