As a source of biomass, oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) has another potential biodiversity in the form of microbes. In addition, OPEFB can be processed into biochar which is expected to be the host of PSF. There is not much information for the potential use of microbes such as Phosphate Solubilizing Fungal (PSF) Indigenous from OPEFB to
support providing of P in soils of Central Kalimantan. Begitu pula dengan potensi biochar OPEFB menjadi host dari PSF. Oil palm empty fruit bunches taking was done in the processing of solid waste from palm oil in the form of OPEFB in the stack, half-compost of OPEFB (destroyed OPEFB was watered with solid waste of oil palm during 2 weeks, immature compost), and (destroyed OPEFB was watered with solid waste of oil palm during 6 weeks, mature compost). Identification of PSF isolat from OPEFB conducted using Pikovskaya’s medium. Identification of PSF isolat was done using slide culture methods. Isolation of PSF from OPEFB obtained 2 species in immature compost, 6 species and 1 genus in mature compost, mean while in fresh OPEFB not obtained PSF. The results of study showed that the biochar and OPEFB compost mixture could be the host of a particular PSF. |
