The method used is descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques using observation as a well in- depth interview. This study found that the communication patterns formed between parents and children in the context of inheriting agricultural values from rural youth in Barito Kuala Regency were communication patterns. unbalanced split pattern (unbalanced separately). The inheritance of agricultural values is determined by the role of the father in shaping the perceptions of village youth. The village youth still have an interest in working in the agricultural sector, although it is not their main choice. The tendency to work in the agricultural sector is owned by youth with low levels of education and their lives are classified as poor households because there are no other better job options. en_US
