Ngaben ceremony is a ritual performed to send the corpse in the next life. For
the people in Tajau Pecah village, cremation is a happy moment because by
carrying out this ceremony, parents or children have carried out their
obligations as family members. Therefore, this ceremony is always greeted
with joy without sobbing, they believe that sobbing actually only hinders the
spirit's journey to reach Nirvana |
