dc.description.abstract Ethnobotany studies include botanical study, ethno pharmacology study, ethno anthropological study, ethno economic study and ethno linguistic study. Ethnobotany study of plants, especially plants from the Clusiaceae family have never been researched, even though these plants have strategic potential for developing as medicine, food and other economic things.The research have a goal to study an ethnobotany of Clusiaceae family which collected at Banua Botanical Garden, Banjarbaru. Collecting botanical data was carried out in Banua Botanical Garden, then collecting ethnobotanical data was carried out by interviewing with Snowball Sampling technique to people around at Banua Botanical Garden. The results showed are 5 types of Clusiaceae plants that used by Banjarese and Javanese people, i.e. Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum L.), Mundar (Garcinia forbesii King.), Manggis (Garcinia mangostana L), Manggis Burung (Garcinia porrecta Laness) and Asam Kandis (Garcinia xanthochymus Hook.). These type of plants are used for various aims, including for medicine, ritual ceremony, economic activity and others. en_US
