INSTAGRAM KOMUNITAS PERGERAKAN FEMINISME @NARASI_PEREMPUAN DAN UPAYA PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN BANJARMASIN

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the utilization of social media Instagram of the feminism movement community @narasi_perempuan as an effort to empower women in Banjarmasin. Using the Diffusion of Innovation and Liberal Feminism theories, this study discusses in depth about Instagram and its features as a medium to strive for women's empowerment. This research uses descriptive-qualitative method. The datas collected by observation, interviews, and documentation, and using interactive models data analysis techniques. The results showed that the Narasi Perempuan Community was able to make an effort to empower women in Banjarmasin by implementing the empowerment stages through social media Instagram. The awareness and behavior formation stage is carried out by using Instagram for socialization through persuasive messages, reporting on local and national women's issues, the ability transformation stage in the form of knowledge insight is carried out by utilizing the posting feature on Instagram Feeds, Instagram Story and Instagram Highlight features, as well as the stage of increasing intellectual abilities and skills towards independence which is carried out by utilizing Instagram Live and Instagram TV features, and collaboration with other communities and the public with the main content named “Bakisahan” as well as reposting activities.
