Abstract:
Indonesia is overgrown with various kinds of plants that are often used by the
community as traditional medicine. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the distribution
of medicinal plants based on a geographic information system which aims to determine the
distribution of medicinal plants in Tebing Siring Village, Bajuin District, Tanah Laut Regency in order
to provide information and add insight to the community about the distribution of medicinal plants in
Mount Batu and Mount Langkaras, Tebing Siring Village, Bajuin District, Tanah Laut Regency. The
data processing used in this study was two kinds of primary data and secondary data, while the data
analysis used the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) analysis method. The result of this
study is the distribution of medicinal plants in the area of Mount Batu and Mount Langkaras, Tebing
Siring Village, Bajuin District, Tanah Laut Regency, there are 2 types of tree habitus, namely
Eucalyptus and Eucalyptus. The NDVI value in Eucalyptus and Eucalyptus Plants has a range of
values of 0.42 – 0.76 which means that these two types of plants are suitable and easily adapted to
the environment there so that the vegetation that lives is healthy.
