dc.description.abstract The impact of catfish farming in ponds has a direct positive impact, namely the emergence of catfish hatchery businesses to meet the needs of cultivators' seeds and absorption of local labor for fish harvesting purposes. The indirect positive impact is the production of mud from draining fish farming ponds that can be used for plant media and the emergence of stalls for daily living needs, food stalls and fishing ponds. The negative impact is the runoff of pond water onto the road in a small area. The catfish farming business in Banjar Regency began in 2000 with positive and negative impacts on the economy, social and environment. This study aims to analyze the externalities of the catfish culture environment. The method used is Opportunity cost.
