dc.description.abstract This study aims to estimate stored biomass above the soil surface, estimate estimated carbon (C) stored and Carbondioxide (CO2) absorbed in Sungai Bakar Village Forest. The benefits of this research are to provide information on potential C storage and CO2 uptake on the ground, as well as participation of village forest communities to help reduce the impact of global warming. The method used for stand data and nekromassa is the method of allometric equations whereas the method used for the data of the lower plants and litter is the destructive method. The results showed that biomass stored in Sungai Bakar Village Forest was 118.17 ton/ha with biomass donation at 59.30 ton/ha of mixed plantation forest, secondary dryland forest 45,59 ton/ha and grassland 13,28 ton/ha. Total biomass on the 3 land cover is 52.04 ton/ha biomass stand, 28.59 ton/ha of necromassa biomass, biomass necromassa felling of 20.32 ton/ha, lower plant biomass of 10.70 ton/ha and litter biomass of 6.52 ton/ha. Estimated potential of C stored in Sungai Bakar Village Forest is 808,427.36 tons. The contribution of C on each land cover is 339,754.83 ton/ha, 338,961.13 ton/ha of secondary dryland forest, and grassland only 19,711.41 ton/ha. Estimated potential of CO2 absorbed in Sungai Bakar Village Forest is 957,644.15 tons with CO2 contribution absorbed in each land cover is Mixed Plantation 409.453,09 ton/ha, Secondary Dryland Forest 532.017,03 ton/ha and Grassland only 16,174, 03 ton/ha en_US
