POTENSI PRODUKSI GETAH (Antiaris toxicaria, Lesch) DENGAN DUA METODE SADAP

Abstract

Forest management which only relies on wood as the final product in terms of business is an investment that is less attractive and uncompetitive when compared to other businesses, because it requires a relatively long harvest time. Forest management requires certain types that can produce intermediate yields before timber harvest, is expected to provide a special attraction for businesses in the forestry sector and in itself can increase the income of people around the forest. The sap of a certain tree species can be used as an intermediate product that can be regulated and produced continuously without damaging the final result in the form of wood, it is even possible to be developed to have a greater value than the final product in the form of wood. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential of A.toxicaria tapping production in natural forests with two tapping methods, namely: the tapping system and the tapping system. Tapping with the tapping system for each tree is done with 3 replications and one day tapping time intervals. The results of the research on the tapping of A.toxicaria sap with the flow tapping system was 10.8 gr / ph / day, while the production of tapping with the traditional system was 181.8 gram/tree/day. The production of A.toxicaria sap is sufficient and has the potential to be developed, comparable to the production of other types of sap producing trees
