dc.description.abstract Abstract Cavitation is phenomena of phase transfer from liquid to vapor on moving fluid, this phase transfer can be cause by dropping local pressure or increasing local temperature. Local drop pressure is caused by increasing flow rate on sudden contraction. Cavitation ussually happens on valve, elbow and turbo machinery such as pump and turbine. Cavitation indication is bubbles vapor present, noise and vibration on pipe. This experimental has been done to observe of cavitation on ball and gete valve with ¾ in diameter and transparent pipe at downstream side to observe cavitation process. The test will be varied of valve opening 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and inlet mass flor rate. The cavitation identification is base of vibration spectrum noise level and visual vibration was measured by accelerometer and noise with microphone, both visualized by vibration analyzer Keywords: cavitation, ball, gate, valve, vibration, noise, frequency en_US
