This study aims to analyze the economic value of the Indonesian Tropical Rain Forest Park TH2TI using the Travel Cost Method and to find out the economicand social benefits for the surrounding community. This research was conducted in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan for 2 months. The resultsof the study indicate that the costof traveling at the TH2TI location is influenced by the distance of each end as well as the means of transportation and consumption of visitors. The data above is for the location of the closest visitor position, namely Banjarbaru with an estimated distance of 7 km with an average expenditure per person of Rp. 29,000, Martapura/ Banjar a distance of 10 km the average expenditure is Rp. 30.000, Tanah Laut a distance of 55 km with an average expenditure of Rp. 70,000 and the furthest is a new city with a distance of 300 km with an average expenditure of Rp. 400,000. The influence of the presence of TH2TI on the socioeconomic conditions of the community is as follows, providing employment Opportunities for the community around MH2T are business opportunities both as traders and in the service sector. In tourism in Cempaka Village, namely Ungu Lake, the development strategy for Purple Lake from the results of the analysis of internal and external factors for Purple Lake, namely 1.95 and 1.75, which is in quadrant II, this position shows solid but faces great difficulties.
