Abstract:
Ready-mix concrete is concrete made with industrial facilities called "Ready-Mix Plant" or in other words "Batching Plant". The advantages of ready-mix concrete compared to concrete if in place include:1) Quality; the material used is highly bound to the requested quality and strict quality control is carried out during the manufacturing and shipping process.2) Service; the availability of a large fleet of concrete mixer trucks allows for controlled and optimal delivery and special services for difficult project implementation locations, in the form of pumps, conveyors, night deliveries, and others.3) Comfort; Ready-mix concrete can be sent directly from the factory to the project location using concrete mixer trucks (truck mixers) with shipping methods that can be tailored to the needs of consumers and the use of ready-mix concrete to protect the project location from disturbance (dirty, noise, etc.) to minimum level.Since the establishment of several companies that produce ready-mix concrete in South Kalimantan, the use of ready-mix concrete began to be known with various prices and advantages offered. However, whether the quality of concrete produced by ready-mix concrete companies is in accordance with the specifications desired by the customer. Therefore, it is necessary to examine whether the quality of concrete in the field is in accordance with the quality produced by ready-mix concrete companies.
