dc.description.abstract The waste from coconuts is the coconut shell which is generally used as daily fuel. Vetiver and agarwood waste contain a resin that has not been utilized optimally so far to be a solution in providing aromatherapy ingredients because it contains a scent that calms and relieves stress. The aims of the study were (1) to analyze the characteristic test of aromatherapy charcoal briquettes which included density, test for moisture content, ash content, volatile matter content, bound carbon content, calorific value and combustion rate (2) Knowing the best treatment of aromatherapy charcoal briquettes. This test used a completely randomized design with six treatments and three replications, so the total number of samples was 18. The highest water content of 8.55% was in treatment E, and the lowest was in treatment C, namely 4.05%; the ash content of aromatherapy briquettes varied, namely the lowest value was 6.19% in treatment E, and the highest was 11.46% in treatment A. the highest average volatile matter content was 60.29% in treatment E, and the lowest volatile matter content was 42.83% in treatment F. The highest bound carbon content was in treatment F, 43.66%, and the lowest average was in treatment E, 24.97%. The calorific value varied between 4885.21 cal/gr - 5516.24 cal/gr; the lowest carbon content was in treatment E, and treatment F had the highest calorific value. The highest average density was 0.8546 gr/cm3 in treatment F, and treatment E had the lowest average density of 0.5740 gr/cm3. The lowest burning rate was in treatment D, which was 0.39 gr/minute, and the highest was in treatment E, which was 0.63 gr/minute. The best moisture content was found in treatment C, namely 4.05% (SNI <8%); the best ash content was found in treatment E, namely 6.19% (SNI <8%); all treatments for volatile matter did not meet the standard (SNI <15). %), bonded carbon and density testing did not require SNI standards, and the best carbon value was in treatment F, namely 5516.24 cal/gr (SNI > 5000 cal/gr). en_US
