Some of the mangrove areas in Pagatan Besar Village, Tanah Laut Regency are used as an area of ecotourism. Unfortunately, there is no complete data in this area. One of the data is related to birds, as a biological component of the inhabitants of the area. The study was conducted in September-October 2018. The main objective was to record birds found or occupying the area. The data can be used as a guide material for domestic or foreign tourists visiting. The birds recorded were diurnal birds. The method used was the point / circumference of abundance and exploration in four habitat types. Four types of habitat starting from the sea were beaches (muddy), mangrove forests, open areas, and forests on dry land or vegetation in settlements. Sixty species from 29 identified bird families were found in the Pagatan Besar Mangrove Ecotourism Area. Six species of which are protected. Most of these species belong to a group of least concerned. Thirteen species include migratory birds and all are water birds. One species, namely bondol kalimantan is classified as an endemic bird to Kalimantan. |
