Infectious disease is a disease that caused by microorganisms, one of which is bacteria. It can be transmitted directly or indirectly from one person to another. One of the management of infections caused by bacteria is the administration of antibiotics. Prescribing antibiotics in Indonesia is currently known to be relatively high. This will cause many problems. This study aims to describe the pattern of antibiotic use in the Sungai Ulin Community Health Center in January 2020. This type of research is a descriptive study with a sample method conducted retrospectively on prescriptions using antibiotics in the Sungai Ulin Community Health Center in January 2020. The results of the study showed that amoxicillin is antibiotic that most often prescribed with a diagnosis of acute pharyngitis. The amount of amoxicillin use during January 2020 was 97 items with a percentage of 46.86%. Followed by cotrimoxazole as many as 34 items with a percentage of 16.43%, chloramphenicol as many as 27 items with a percentage of 13.04%, and ciprofloxacin as many as 8 items with a percentage of 8.70%, gentamicin as many as 14 items with a percentage of 6.76%, cefadroxyl as many as 9 items with a percentage of 4.35%, cefixime of 6 items with a percentage of 2.90%, and clindamycin as much as 2 items with a percentage of 0.97%. |
