PEMANFAATAN TUMBUHAN AIR PURUN TIKUS (Eleocharis dulcis) KELOMPOK USAHA WANITA PENGRAJIN PURUN ‘GALOEH BANDJAR’

Abstract

The women's business group of water chestnuts craftsmen is one of the groups of water chestnuts craftsmen in the Palam village that has developed raw materials into handicraft products with the main ingredient of water chestnuts mice water plants. Its development, the group of water chestnuts craftsmen faced problems in limited knowledge about the selection and use of good water chestnuts aquatic plants, handling of coloring. The solution offered is that craftsmen can distinguish good quality water chestnuts sed as the basic material for weaving, selection of basic materials, coloring of basic materials, in order to improve the quality of the basic materials for weaving. PKM activity methods applied: 1) consultation in the form of meetings and discussions; delivery of materials; 2) training in the form of demonstrations and redemonstrations; and evaluation of activities. The results of PKM activities have provided a change in the attitude and knowledge of the partner group from not knowing to knowing enough about the good use of basic materials and coloring of basic materials in order to be able to develop the business as an independent business. Meetings with partner groups have an impact on decreasing variations in knowledge and abilities, where members of partner groups in maintaining the quality of basic materials and coloring as an increase in knowledge of partner groups tend to lead to the same level or evenly.
