dc.description.abstract Disease pattern in developed countries tend of change from contagious to uncontagiousdisease such as cardiovascular, hypertension, obesity, and diabetic mellitus. Study about medicinal plants as an antidiabetic drug is needed. One of those prospective medicinal plants is Cucurbita moschata (Duch) poir. The aim of this study was to know hypoglicemic effects of Cucurbita moschata on the rabbit blood-glucose concentration. Five male rabbit, 4-5 months old, weighing 1,5-3 kg were given same five treatment orally and respectively in one week interval. Those treatment were KN (glucose 1 g per body weight), KP (Tolbutamid 100 mg per body weight and glucose 1 g per body weight), T, (2,61 g dry powder per body weight and glucose 1 g per body weight), T2 (5,22 g dry powder per body weight and glucose 1 g per body weight), T3 (10,44 g dry powder per body weight and glucose 1 g per body weight). The result shows that at doses of 2,61 g and 5,22 g per body weight of C. Moschata fruit extract can decrease the rabbit blood glucose concentration than negative control but didnot biggest than positive control. en_US
