DINAMIKA PRODUKSI BERAS KALIMANTAN SELATAN DALAM MENDUKUNG SWASEMBADA PANGAN NASIONAL

Abstract

Kalimantan Selatan has practiced rice surplus and specified as a national rice barn. This paper shows how the production of rice in Kalimantan Selatan delivered well. Even though most of the land in Kalimantan Selatan classified as wetlands, which low rate of productivity, Kalimantan Selatan proved capable of maintaining their surplus. The exploratory approach has used in this study. Any alternative scenarios are developed to support Kalimantan Selatan to preserve rice production. System dynamics has used to simulate each scenario and model behavior. Further radical model development is needed, such as consideration of the multi-cultural and economics approaches to enhance food diversification in enacting sustainability of staple food availability.
