dc.description.abstract Malnutrition children have lowerintelligenceduetobraincellsdamagecausedbyoxidativestress.Seluang(Rasboraspp.)hasthepotentialtereducethisproblem.Thisstudyaimedtoanalyzethecorrelationbetweenhydrogenperoxide(H2O2)levelswithmalondialdehyde(MDA)levelsinthebrainofmalnourishedratsafteradministrationofseluang.Thisstudyusedaposttestonlywithcontrolgroupdesign.30whiterats(Rattusnorvegicus)madeintomalnutritionanddividedintothreegroups,M:malnutritiongroup,P1:malnourishedratsfedstandarddiet,P2:malnourishedratsfedseluangfor4weeks.TheresultsshowedthatmalnourishedratshadthehighestlevelsofH2O2.ANOVAstatisticaltestsshowedasignificantdifferencesbetweenH2O2levels(p=0.001)andMDAlevels(p=0.001)amongmalnutritiongroupwiththeothergroupsPearsoncorrelationtestresultsconcludedthattherewasacorrelationH2O2levelswithMDAlevels(p=0.001,r=0.684)asindicatedbydecreaseofH2O2levelsfollowedbydecreaseinMDAlevels.ThisstudyshowedacorrelationbetweenH2O2levelsandMDAlevelsintheofmalnourishedratbrainfedseluang.Thusseluangcanimprovetheconditionofoxidativestressinmalnourishedratbrain. en_US
