dc.description.abstract The Banjar community has a pattern of consumption of foods containing fat, carbohydrates and protein as a side dish everyday, so that it can be one of the risk factors for hyperuricemia that can increase blood pressure. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of uric acid on blood pressure and chronic hypertension on proteinuria levels in Banjarnese hypertension patients at Cempaka Health Center Banjarmasin. Method an observational analytic using cross sectional. A total of sample is 60 people. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney test for the effect of uric acid levels and the effect of chronic hypertension using the Chi Square test and then the correlation test. The significance value of blood uric acid levels to systolic blood pressure p = 0.000 and diastolic p = 0.002 and duration of hypertension to proteinuria levels were p = 0.004 and r = 0.377. Conclusions: There is significant effect of uric acid levels on blood pressure and chronic hypertension on proteinuria levels in Banjarnese hypertension patients in Cempaka Banjarmasin Health Center with weak strength.
