dc.description.abstract | Vocabulary is the total number of words the learners know regardless of how well they know them. Vocabulary size can be divided into receptive and productive skills. This research is aimed to know the vocabulary size of English department students and their category in vocabulary level test. Besides, this research also has the purpose to explore which part of the vocabulary level test have the highest and the lowest mastery. The participants for the research are 148 students of English Department in Lambung Mangkurat University from academic year 2012 to 2015. The students were given 25 to 40 minutes in answering the test. The results show -frequency level. While the highest score in vocabulary level test are part 1 and part 2 which can be categorized as mid-frequency level and the lowest score in vocabulary level test are part 13 and part 14 which can be categorized as low-frequency level. | en_US |
