Abstract: This study aims to identify the people in Takisung disctric in social and cultural manner; identify the people education condition in Takisung disctrict; and formulate the appropriate and effective strategies to improve the people quality of Takisung district as coastal areas or categorized as wetland area. This is called descriptive qualitative research. The sampling technique is a random cluster sampling. The research result showed that the people in coastal areas in fishermen and their children have begun to have the awareness of education that would continue to pursue the higher education, however, there are still some people of the youth who do not want to continue their education to help parents go for fishing. The local orinted education to empower the fishing communities must be strengthened and the development of educational awareness to the people of productive age for school should be done.
