Many people hunt for reptiles to take advantage or kill them because reptiles are considered dangerous animals. Reptile extinction must be avoided. Reptiles are not only God's creatures that must be preserved, but also a source of knowledge. This study aims to record reptiles in Gambut District, Banjar Regency. This data collection is a preliminary effort, before reptile was further developed as teaching materials disseminated in schools. Reptiles are recorded on sized transects (2,000 m x 10 m). Reptiles found are made into preparations to describe their morphology qualitatively. Four species found in the preliminary study are chameleon (Bronchocela cristatella), litter monitor (Eutrophic rudis), lizard (Hemidactylus brookii), and Siebenrockiella crassicollis.
